Zeke Wilson, author of the autobiographical The Eighth Round, and his daughter, Florence Wilson, author of the fictional Teenage Vampire, visited The Green Free Library Thursday, Jan. 14.
Zeke, a former professional boxer, spoke about his experiences involving racial discrimination that led not only to his writing the book, but also "to set a federal precedent for all legal findings of same-race discrimination," according to Zeke. Florence, 15, talked about writing the first of what will be a five-book series to be released over the next two years.
The father and daughter team, both of whom are from northcentral Pennsylvania, also presented signed copies of their books to Library Director Leslie A. Wishard. The books will be available in the collection soon.
