The Green Free Library will be closed Friday July 4th, Saturday July 5th & Sunday July 6th for the Fourth of July weekend.

Books may be returned in the book drop. Please do not return movies or audio books in the book drop. If you need to renew an item, please leave a message on the answering machine, or access your account online. Please do not try to renew by e-mail.

Spring cleaning? The library is accepting gently used, clean items for a yard-sale during the community wide yard-sale in Wellsboro, PA on Friday, April 25 & Saturday, April 26, 2014. Please drop off items on Saturday, April 19 or Wednesday, April 23 during normal business hours (10-5 Sat)(10-8 Wed). PLEASE-no clothing or non-working electronics! Proceeds benefit the library directly.

To celebrate the anniversary of our book store opening all regularly priced books will be buy one get one of equal price or less, for free!
Due to the major power outage in the Wellsboro area, the library closed early on Thursday, Feb 6, 2014. Fines for this day, and the previous snow-day closing will be waived for items due on those dates.
