UPDATE ON OPENING

The weather is actually looking worse and the temp has actually dropped a degree. There is now a tentative opening time of 12:00 PM. Please do check back, call the library (570-724-4876) or listen to one of the local radio stations for updates! Stay warm, dry and safe!!

DELAYED OPENING TODAY!

Well, it looks like April is going out like a lion! Due to slick roads, high winds and loss of power in many areas, the WASD and many surrounding school districts are closed for the day. This means The Green Free Library will be opening late today. We will try to get the doors unlocked st 11:00 AM, but if you are coming any distance you might want to call first at 570-724-4876. This delay will help keep people off the roads so work crews can take care of the ice and repair any downed power lines, keeping both workers and the public safe and only slightly unhappy :)

As I make this post it is 32 degrees on the Muck and the wind is really whipping. The poor lille peepers are singing their hearts out inbetween sneezes.
