THIS WEEK AT THE LIBRARY

The bus trip to Maryland has been canceled due to lack of participants. Thank you to the few who did sign up.


The Green Free Library is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Friday & Saturday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Visitors please note that all parking is "on the street", except for one handicapped access parking spot behind the library that is shared with the Gmeiner. You must have the appropriate permits displayed to park in this spot.

MONDAY MARCH 25, 2013
There are no special events for today.

There are no speciall events scheduled at the library.

There is still time to register for the fund raiser to Nora Roberts' book store and the Baltimore Aquarium. Reservations are due by March 20! Check with the library for senior, teen, and child costs. Deduct $25 for Aquarium ticket if you just want to enjoy the Inner Harbor.


TUESDAY MARCH 26, 2013

The BOOK STORE will be open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.


The Book Club will discuss Crazy for the Storm: a Memoir of Survival by Norman Ollestad. The discussion will take place in the reading area of the library and begins at 6:3o PM. Anyone who has read the book is invited to attend. Books are provided by the library as well.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 27, 2013


Story Time will be held in the childrens' room at the library beginning at 10:15 AM. The session lasts about 45 minutes and includes stories, songs and fun activities. Story Time is free and open to all children from birth to age 5 along with at least one adult caregiver. This week the theme will be EASTER!


The adult Knitting Group will meet at 3:30 PM in The Gmeiner (the art center behind the library). Knitters of any level are encouraged to attend. Help will be available for those new to the craft.

Please remember the library closes promptly at 5:00 PM on Friday & Saturday. The Internet computers are programmed to automatically shut down at 4:50 to allow staff to complete closing procedures by 5:00.



SATURDAY MARCH 30, 2012

The library will be open from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Visitors are welcome, and Wireless is available, along with Guest Passes for public Internet access with a valid photo ID. The Internet computers are programmed to automatically shut down at 4:50 to allow staff to complete closing procedures by 5:00.


The Book Store will be open from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Notice: A FEW MORE TAX FORMS HAVE ARRIVED. There are also some forms and instructions available on the IRS.gov web site. According to updates it may be several weeks before all forms and instructions are available at the library.

The BOOK STORE will be open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.


The First Thursday Writers Group will meet upstairs in the library at 6:30 PM. Writer's of all genres and levels are welcome, but must be at least 17 years of age to atttend due to possible adult content. Presentation is in the round table format, and participants may bring up to 3 pages of their work to share. Copies may be made before the meeting, and are paid for by The Friends of The Green Free Library.
