The Green Free Library has added two popular DVD titles for the family to its collection.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince




Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Heyday Films production. This film was produced by David Heyman and David Barron and directed by David Yates. The screenplay was written by Steve Kloves , based on the 6th installment in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. This movie was released in theaters on July 15, 2009 and on DVD on Dec 08, 2009.

Running time is 153 minutes and this DVD has an MPAA rating of PG for scary images, some violence, language and mild sensuality. Parents click here for additional information.

Summary from the WebPAC: Emboldened by the return of Lord Voldemort, the Death Eaters are wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds. Hogwarts, once thought to be a safe haven, may no longer be safe. Harry suspects that new dangers may lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Harry will have to help him uncover a vital key to unlocking Voldemort's defenses, a critical piece of information known only to Horace Slughorn, Hogwarts' former Potions Professor. Dumbledore manipulates his old colleague into returning to his previous post with promises of more money, a bigger office and the chance to teach the famous Harry Potter.

Personally, though I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter movies, the book by this title is much, much better. Why not stop in and check it out and decide for yourself?

This film was produced by Pam Marsden. The screenplay was written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. It is based on the original children’s book written by Judi Barrett and published in 1978. Running time is 90 minutes.This film was released in theaters in September 2009, and on DVD by Sony Pictures Home Entertainemnt on January 05, 2010. It has an
