THIS WEEK AT THE LIBRARY



MONDAY
Happy Halloween from the Director and Staff of The Green Free Library!


TUESDAY



Do you like listening to books? Has someone given you an E-reader (Kindle, Kobo or other brand), and you’re not sure how to use it? Want to find out how to borrow free e-books from the library? There will be a special E-Reader Workshop on Tuesday Nov 1, 2011 at 5:30 PM in the main room of the library. Bring your E-Reader, or take a look at ours.

Today is the first day of NaNoWriMo. Not sure what this is? If you like to write, check Thursday’s events for more information


WEDNESDAY





Story Time will be held in the Children’s Room at the library. It begins at 10:15 AM and the theme this week will be Scarecrows and Harvest!


Adult knitting will be held in the main room of the library at 3:00 PM. Plan to stay at least an hour, or feel free to tie things up early. All levels are welcome. Help and instruction is available.



THURSDAY





Kids knitting will be held upstairs in the library after school at 3:30 PM. New knitters are encouraged to attend. Don’t have any needles? No problem! Beginner supplies are available free of charge.







First Thursday Writers Group will meet upstairs in the library from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Writers of all genres are welcome, but must be at least 17 years old to attend do to possible adult subject matter. Members are encouraged to bring up to 3 pages of their work to share, copies can be made free of charge at the library before the meeting. This is the perfect time to join the group now and get started on your novel since the 2011 session of NaNoWroMo just got under way on November 1. NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and it is a great way to see if you have the Write Stuff! Check out the website for more info and to sign up and track your progress. It’s free and you never know!
