NEW DVDS

The Green Free Library has added three new DVD's to its collection.

The Time Traveler’s Wife


New Line Cinema presents a Plan B/Nick Wechsler production. It was originally released as a motion picture on August 14, 2009, and on DVD by Warner Home Video on February 9, 2010.

This DVD has a running time of 107 minutes. It has an MPAA Rating of PG-13 for thematic elements, brief disturbing images, nudity, and sexuality. Parents click here for additional information. It is directed by Robert Schwentke and produced by produced by Nick Wechsler and Dede Gardner. The screenplay was written by Bruce Joel Rubin and Audrey Niffenegger and it is based on the novel of the same title published in 2003 by Audrey Niffenegger.

Summary from WebPAC: Clare has been in love with Henry her entire life. She believes they are destined to be together, even though she never knows when they will be separated: Henry is a time traveler, cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control. Despite the fact that Henry's travels force them apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

Summary from WebPAC: Following failed attempts to conceive, Jason and Cynthia are contemplating divorce. In an effort to save their marriage, they book a vacation to a couples therapy retreat, called Eden. To save money they encourage their friends to join them, claiming that their friends can enjoy the party activities and not take part in the therapy. Reluctantly their friends, Dave and Ronnie, Joey and Lucy, and recently divorced Shane and his girlfriend Trudy agree. Upon their arrival to Eden they are sent to the west side of the island, but Joey learns that the east side of the island hosts a singles resort. After their first therapy session all four couples learn they have problems with their relationships. Later, Shane runs into his ex-wife, who admits she still loves him.

The scrrenplay was written by Harald Kloser & Roland Emmerich . Originally released as a motion picture on November 13, 2009, the DVD was released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on March 2, 1010.
