NEW DISPLAY FEATURING TURNINGS BY WALT COLTON

The Green Free Library is pleased to display these beautiful turnings by Mr. Walt Colton. Many residents and former students of Wellsboro will remember Mr. Colton as one of the Industrial Arts (Shop) teachers at the Wellsboro Area High School. He retired from teaching in 1997, but has not stopped practicing his craft. Using woods with exotic names such as Tulip, Purpleheart, Honduras Mahogany, and Cocobolo, and more familiar ones such as Maple, White Oak, Cherry, Redwood and Butternut, he has created some truly exquisite pieces. Also on display is a needlepoint footstool, worked by his wife Diane Colton. Stop by soon and view this display anytime during regular library hours.
