DreamWorks Pictures presents in association with BBC Films, an Evamere Entertainment, BBC Films, Neal Street production

This movie is based on the novel of the same name (Revolutionary Road), written by Richard Yates and published in 1961. The Green Free Library has a reprinted addition of this title in book form as well as the DVD.

The screenplay is written by Justin Haythe and directed by Sam Mendes.

Released as a motion picture in Dec. 2008. DVD released 2009.
Runtime is 118 minutes.

Frank and April Wheeler live a life that appears to be perfect. They live in the Connecticut suburbs with two young children. Frank commutes to New York City where he works in an office job that he hates. One he places little effort at, but he has yet to figure out what his passion in life is. April is a housewife who forgoes her dream of being an actress. They are not happy. One day, April suggests that they move to Paris as a means to rejuvenate their life. Initially skeptical, Frank ultimately agrees to April's plan. When circumstances change around the Wheelers, April decides she will do whatever she has to get herself out of her unhappy existence.

The deep forests of Poland and Belorussia are the domain of the occuping Germans during World War II. The three Bielski brothers go into the forests and find the impossible task of foraging for food, weapons and survival, not just for themselves but for a large mass of fleeing Polish Jews from the German war machine. The brothers, living with the fear of discovery must contend with neighboring Soviet partisans and deciding whom to trust. They take on the responsibility of guardians and motivate hundreds of women, men, children and the elderly to join their fight against the Nazi regime while hiding in makeshift homes in the dark, cold and unforgiving forest. At the same time, the brothers turn a band of war defectors into commanding freedom fighters. Based on true events.
