THIS WEEK AT THE LIBRARY

Wow!! It's the week before Thanksgiving already. Stop in and check-out one of the library's many cookbooks or magazines for a special new dish for the holiday table. The Christmas books are up too, if you want to get a head start on decorating ideas or homemade gifts.


The Green Free Library is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Friday & Saturday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Visitors please note that all parking is "on the street", except for one handicapped access parking spot behind the library that is shared with the Gmeiner. You must have the appropriate permits displayed to park in this spot.

MONDAY NOVEMBER 12, 2012

There are no special events scheduled for today. There is still time to donate to the 2012-2013. Remember-all donations are tax-deductible!! Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. The library also accepts donations of gently used books (hard cover and paperbacks), except for encyclopedias, Reader's Digest condensed and outdated textbooks. Please no magazines or records either.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 13, 2012

The BOOK STORE will be open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Prices are amazing and there are many titles to choose from. Books will be re-stocked at the end of every session, so make it a habit to stop in regularly.

The theme for this month is "Non-Fiction November". All regularly priced Non-fiction books are BYGO Free!! Please support the library by helping us get rid of the excess donations left when the Friends discontinued hosting the annual book sale. Prices are so good, its scary.

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 14, 2012

Storytime starts today at 10:15 AM in the Childrens Room.The theme for this week is "THANKSGIVING". Any child from birth thru 5 years of age is welcome to attend this free program with at least one parent or caregiver per family. Programs last about 45 minutes and include songs, stories and activities or crafts pertaining to the chosen theme.

The adult Knitting Group will meet at 3:30 PM in The Gmeiner (the art center behind the library). Knitters of any level are encouraged to attend. Help will be available for those new to the craft.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16, 2012

Please remember the library closes promptly at 5:00 PM on Friday & Saturday. The Internet computers are programmed to automatically shut down at 4:50 to allow staff to complete closing procedures by 5:00.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2012

The library will be open from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Visitors are welcome, and Wireless is available, along with Guest Passes for public Internet access with a valid photo ID. The Internet computers are programmed to automatically shut down at 4:50 to allow staff to complete closing procedures by 5:00.

The Book Store will be open from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
