DO YOU HAVE OVERDUE ITEMS? AMNESTY DAYS

ATTENTION GREEN FREE LIBRARY PATRONS
Do you have seriously overdue library items? Have you not returned overdue items because you can’t pay the fine? The Green Free Library (in Wellsboro) is holding Amnesty Days on Feb 10, 11 & 12, 2012. Fines on any items returned in the library, or in the drop box will be waived at this time. This is not only an effort to retrieve long overdue items, but in preparation for the upcoming change to the Evergreen System that several PA libraries are switching to. Not returning items, or having large fines and bills that remain unpaid, may eventually prohibit the cardholder, or family members, from borrowing items at other libraries if the proposed state-wide library card is eventually implemented. Now is the time to return overdue items and pay off old fines! If you’re not sure whether you have outstanding items or charges, please come in with your photo identification, or library card to check, as that information is not given out over the phone.
