The screen story was written by Jordan Mechner and based on a video game series he created entitled Prince of Persia. The screenplay was written by Boaz Yakin, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. The film was released in theaters on May 28, 2010, and on DVD on September 14, 2010.
