If you love books and you love a bargain, stop by the annual Friends of The Green Free Library booksale. You can't miss it. Tents on the front lawn of the library will house popular fiction, paperbacks and books for children. Non-fiction, rare and collectible books and various audi and visual materials will be in the fellowship hall of the church nect door.
Members of the Friends are invited for a special preview from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Forgot to renew your membership? New to the area and want to join? Membership payments will be taken at the "door". THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS HAVING A LIBRARY CARD!
Regular sale hours commence on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Things will wrap up on Saturday with hours running from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. This is also the $2.00 a bag sale on many of the books. Bags will be available, or bring your own (any size!)
A Silent Auction is in progress until 4:00 PM on June 12, 2010 and bidders need not be present to win.
Raffle tickets for the new American Girl Doll will also be on sale. This raffle will conclude on July 31, 2010, at Miss Mazie's Tea Party, which will be held at the Gmeiner from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM.
Proceeds of all events benefit the Friends and in turn a portion goes to The Green Free Library.
