QUILT FOR RAFFLE AT THE GREEN FREE LIBRARY
This colorful and fun lap quilt for kids of any age is currently hanging in The Green Free Library at 134 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901. Now is your chance to purchase a raffle ticket (game run by the Friends) and with luck, you just might be the winner on March 02, 2013.
Tickets are currently available at the circulation desk during normal library hours (M-Th 10:00 AM-8:00 PM and F & Sat 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. Buy one for $1.00 or six for $5.00.Please listen to the radio, or call the library during times of inclimate weather or holidays. The library will be closed between 11:15 AM and 5:00 PM on Tuesday Dec 11, 2012.

There are no special events scheduled for today. There is still time to donate to the 2012-2013. Remember-all donations are tax-deductible!! Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. The library also accepts donations of gently used books (hard cover and paperbacks), except for encyclopedias, Reader's Digest condensed and outdated textbooks. Please no magazines or records either.

Story Time will begin at 10:15 AM in the childrens room of the library. This week the theme will be COOKIES & GINGERBREAD.
The adult Knitting Group will meet at 3:30 PM in The Gmeiner (the art center behind the library). Knitters of any level are encouraged to attend. Help will be available for those new to the craft.

The BOOK STORE will be open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Prices are amazing and there are many titles to choose from. Books will be re-stocked at the end of every session, so make it a habit to stop in regularly.
The First Thursday Writing Group will meet upstairs in the library from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Writers of any genre who are at least 17 years old are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring a sample of your work (up to 3 pages) to share with the group in a round-table like discussion. Copies may be made before the meeting, and are paid for by the Friends of the Green Free Library.

Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas Season is in full swing. Stop at the library and check out some Christmas-themed fiction, or try your hand at a new Christmas craft or cookie recipe from one of our many books. Kids will find old favorites as well as new Christmas stories to get them in the holiday mood too!
