BE A LIBRARY ANGEL
The Green Free Library is asking you to be a "Library Angel" this holiday season. Please stop in and check out our "Angel Tree", and help support the library and the community. Thanks to major budgets cuts from the state of Pennsylvania, library resources are even tighter than usually for the upcoming year. Why not choose an ornament from the tree and purchase the book or DVD to donate to the library. Or if you choose to just donate money to purchase the item, the director will order it for you. A special book plate will be placed on the item with the donos name and they may be first to check out that item if they so desire. This would also make a great gift in someone's name for the holiday season. Thank you for your support.

NEW BOOKS ADDED
Time is passing quickly! (More quickly than I am posting). Here is a list of several new books added to the collection of The Green Free Library in the beginning of the month. Several titles have been designated as Christmas (eek). A few titles are obviously Christmas related but not marked. So what's the difference? The library has a limited amount of shelf space. Christmas books are stored in the basement for several months of the year and only brought up for circulation between October and January. These titles are all marked in the catalog and with a special Christmas sticker. Some authors of popular series always include a Christmas title so most of those works are included with the regular collection. As always, if there are any questions-ASK!

LIBRARY PATRON PUBLISHES CHRISTMAS BOOK
J.W.(Joe to us) Keleher, library patron and implementor of the First Thursday Writers Group at The Green Free Library, has recently published this Christmas book for school-aged readers. Stop in and check out our copy, or purchase one or more to give as gifts. Many of your children are sure to have had Mr. Keleher as a substitute teacher last year. Joe is currently teaching in Africa, but rumor has it he will be returning to Wellsboro when his contract is up.
